Support Our Coffee Van Initiative – Bridging the Gap for Neurodiverse Young Adults

We are excited to introduce our Coffee Van Initiative, a ground breaking project aimed at providing a safe, hands-on learning environment for young neurodiverse adults participating in our Bridging the Gap program. This initiative will offer a work simulation experience, equipping participants with essential skills in barista training, hospitality, customer service, money handling, time management, and event/function operations.

Why a Coffee Van?

A mobile coffee van is more than just a place to serve great coffee—it’s a transformative learning space. By creating a real-world yet supportive setting, our participants can develop confidence, independence, and employable skills that will help them transition into the workforce. The flexibility of a mobile setup allows us to reach different communities, attend events, and create diverse learning experiences tailored to each individual.

Our Goal: $60,000

To bring this initiative to life, we need to raise $60,000 to purchase and fully fit out the coffee van with all necessary equipment. This funding will ensure that we provide a professional and fully functional setup, giving our participants the best possible hands-on learning experience.

We respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work, live, and gather, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present, and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We recognise that sovereignty was never ceded, and this land always was, and always will be Aboriginal land. We honour the enduring connection to this land and the ongoing cultural and spiritual practices that continue to enrich our community.
