Empowering Independence through Cooking, Movement & Creativity

Next Step Voyagers is a dynamic weekly program for neurodivergent young people aged 12–16, designed to build independence, confidence, and essential life skills through creative hands-on experiences. Whether your child is learning to cook a simple meal, express themselves through art, or navigate teamwork in a game-based challenge, each Voyager session is structured to support development in a fun, inclusive, and safe environment. Our facilitators are experienced in working with neurodivergent youth and tailor every activity to support sensory needs, communication styles, and executive functioning.

Voyagers is split into three themed streams—Feast, Move, and Create—each running on different days across school terms. In Feast, participants explore cooking and kitchen safety using accessible equipment and recipes. In Move, they engage in cooperative movement and non-traditional sports to build social and leadership skills. In Create, they express themselves through seasonal arts and craft activities that encourage imagination, mindfulness, and fine motor development. Each stream is more than just an activity—it’s a meaningful step toward confidence and independence.

We proudly run programs in Macedon Ranges, Bacchus Marsh, Werribee, Sunbury, and Footscray. Whether your young person is working toward greater autonomy or simply wants to connect with peers in a supportive environment, Voyagers offers an exciting, achievable pathway forward. Come join the journey!

We respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work, live, and gather, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present, and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We recognise that sovereignty was never ceded, and this land always was, and always will be Aboriginal land. We honour the enduring connection to this land and the ongoing cultural and spiritual practices that continue to enrich our community.
